Cicely Tyson

Cicely Tyson was born December 19, 1924, she is from Harlem New York City.

The one thing I did not know about her is that she was a fashion model during the 50s. She was discovered by a photograph from Ebony magazine.

Cicely Tyson had a good sense of style. I’m a big fan of hers and I knew this woman’s style was brilliant. All the pictures that I’m looking up her fashion sense were phenomenal. She was on the red carpet or if she was in a movie her fashion style was on point.

Cicely Tyson‘s career spends over seven decades and I believe the first things I saw her in was the roots. My mother used to put me in front of a TV with her and we watch certain black movies. Mostly the movies that dealt with the civil rights movement.

Cicely Tyson has been in many movies and TV miniseries with that issue. The one that comes to mind is a mini-series called King. Cicely Tyson played Coretta Scott King, she did a phenomenal job as Coretta Scott King.

She has played Miss Jane Pittman which is one of my favorite movies. Cicely Tyson was the first African American star in a TV drama. That TV drama was called Eastside Westside and she played a secretary named Jane foster. Now one of my favorite scenes it’s from Tyler Perry’s a family reunion. I was going to put it at the bottom but I can’t find it. But that is one of my favorite scenes.

Cicely Tyson has won a bunch of awards for her career. She has an honorary Academy Award. She has primetime Emmys.she win her frist Tony award at the age of 80. Cicely Tyson just had a new book come out called Just As Am: A Memoir

Cicely Tyson, you will truly be miss, you are queen and legend.
